With the start of the new year 2012, David Loh Surgery launches a new service at our Body Treatment Center in Liat Towers – Zeltiq’s Coolsculpting.
Zeltiq is an FDA cleared procedure for body sculpting and contouring. It is a non-invasive method of reducing the thickness of subcutaneous fat using a patented algorithm to freeze and then thawing an area of fat. In the process, fat cells die off. One can expect to loose 20% of the fat cells in the area treated after just one treatment.
The treatment takes about 1 hour for each area and is quite comfortable throughout. Post treatment, there may be slight soreness in the treated areas that take about 1-2 weeks to fully subside. Like all other non-invasive body sculpting and contouring treatments, Coolsculpting is best suited for those who have isolated bulges that they want to contour. It is not a means to reduce weight in the obese. And to maintain the results for a long time, a healthy lifestyle is needed.
